Getting to WordCamp St. Louis

WordCamp St. Louis 2017 is once again happening in the Laboratory Sciences Building, on the Danforth campus of Washington University in St. Louis. This should cover just about everything you need to know to get here.

Parking

Parking in Millbrook Garage is free, but be sure to park in a Yellow spot. If you park in a Red spot, you risk being ticketed. The Laboratory Sciences Building is about halfway down the garage.

Easy Mode

Use this link as it’ll take you right up the driveway. Then turn left into the parking garage.

Illinois: From the North (I-55) and East (I-64)

  • As you cross the Mississippi River, you’ll want to be in one of the left-hand lanes
  • Take I-64 West into St. Louis
  • Stay on 64/40 to exit 34A (Skinker/McCausland)
  • Turn right onto Skinker Blvd.
  • Drive just over a mile and turn left onto Forest Park Parkway
  • Drive about a half-mile down Forest Park and then turn left onto Throop Drive
  • Drive up the hill and left into Millbrook Garage

Illinois: From the East (I-70)

  • When you get to the suburbs of St. Louis, merge from I-70 West onto I-55 South
  • As you cross the Mississippi River, you’ll want to be in one of the left-hand lanes
  • Take I-64 West into St. Louis.
  • Stay on 64/40 to exit 34A (Skinker/McCausland)
  • Turn right onto Skinker Blvd.
  • Drive just over a mile and turn left onto Forest Park Parkway
  • Drive about a half-mile down Forest Park and then turn left onto Throop Drive
  • Drive up the hill and left into Millbrook Garage

Missouri: From the West (I-64)

  • Take 64 east to exit 31A (I-170 North). You’ll want to be in the rightmost lane as you approach the exit
  • Once you’re on I-170, you’ll drive just under a mile and then take exit 1E onto Forest Park Parkway
  • Stay on Forest Park Parkway for about two miles
  • Turn onto Throop which will be on your right
  • Turn left into Millbrook Garage

Missouri: From the South (I-55)

  • Take I-55 north, to exit 196 (you’re eventually merging onto I-270 West, towards Kansas City)
  • Stay on I-270 (you’re actually driving north) to exit 12 for I-64 East
  • Take 64 east to exit 31A (I-170 North). You’ll want to be in the rightmost lane as you approach the exit
  • Once you’re on I-170, you’ll drive just under a mile and then take exit 1E onto Forest Park Parkway
  • Stay on Forest Park Parkway for about two miles
  • Turn onto Throop which will be on your right
  • Turn left into Millbrook Garage

Missouri: From the West (I-70)

  • Take I-70 to exit 238A (merging onto I-170 South)
  • Take I-170 south to the Forest Park Parkway exit (exit 1E)
  • Stay on Forest Park Parkway for about two miles
  • Turn onto Throop which will be on your right
  • Turn left into Millbrook Garage

Missouri: From the West and Southwest (I-44)

  • Take I-44 east to exit 282 (Laclede Station Rd)
  • Turn left at the exit
  • After about 1/4 mile, take a slight right onto Big Bend
  • Follow Big Bend for about four miles, and turn right onto Forest Park Parkway
  • Take Forest Park about 1/4 mile, then turn right onto Throop Drive
  • Go up the hill and turn left into Millbrook Garage

From Lambert International Airport

  • Exit the airport onto I-70 East
  • Take I-70 to exit 238A (merging onto I-170 South)
  • Take I-170 south to the Forest Park Parkway exit (exit 1E)
  • Stay on Forest Park Parkway for about two miles
  • Turn onto Throop which will be on your right
  • Turn left into Millbrook Garage

St. Louis Public Transportation

If you’re using St. Louis’ mass transit:

  • Take the MetroLink Blue Line to the “University City – Big Bend” stop
  • Then walk east on Forest Park Parkway to Throop Drive
  • Walk up Throop, turn left just past the garage
  • The Laboratory Science Building on your right

For app users, Uber service is available in St. Louis (though you may have difficulty getting an Uber pickup at the airport). Lyft is not available in the St. Louis area.
